This week has been extremely busy for me. If you didn’t know I am moving this weekend. Ashley and I decided to move because it’s not worth wasting all the money on a townhouse when it is only the 2 of us. Also she wants to live closer to home. So after 2 full days of looking for places we found a great place, which is around $600 less a month then what we are paying now. Even better it is just about the same size living space, but on one floor. So that will save us on utilities too. The new place as has a balcony (something I have missed for a while) and a Jacuzzi tub. This place was the last place we looked at and I’m glad we did because it was so much better than all of the other places we looked at. The only thing we won’t have at the new place is a garage. Here is a floor plan of the new place.
Since we are moving this week has been very busy. Trying to get everything organized like movers, paperwork, utilities, etc. After I started packing I realized I have way to much stuff! Especially since we have moved every year for the past 3 years! We both really like this place so hopefully we will stay here for more than 1 year.
I’m not sure if I will be able to update the rest of the week, but keep in mind that the CES Swag contest is still going on and it will go until February 27th. It is really easy to enter, just subscribe to my RSS feed via e-mail:

Get yourself a house/condo of your own … your wasting your money , contributing to the wealth of someone else.
You already lost 36 000$ ( 12X 1000$ X 3 ) , that’s the price of a house in your area.

I agree, you guys should really buckle down and buy a place. The mortgage payments would be forced savings. You’d be able to write off the mortgage interest as business expenses because you work from home.
Nice place, although it’s a little weird to have the main bedroom closet opening up in the washroom.
Indeed. Buying a house is a bigger commitment than renting one but in the long run it really pays off.
Try moving Sweden - Usa, that was shitloads of work
Moving can be such a pain can’t it?
We just moved into a townhouse last month. It took about 2 days and 10 trips with the Tahoe to get everything where it needed to be. Good luck on settling in?
I’m sure Ashley will want to throw a house warming
Party at Bob’s new place. =D
Your plan of the house looks good. It should be a perfect home for two. Sweet and compact. And the USP of the flat seems to be the balcony. I too would love to have a balcony to my house, it’s great to unwind in the balcony after a hard day’s work or during your weekends.
I wouldn’t recommend buying a property until you feel pretty comfortable at what you do and have some sort of income security. America lives on credit, loans, etc. Don’t contribute to that negatively! Our dollar is already in the slump.
Having said that, I am looking to buy some land in Pittsburgh area right now. Any recommendations? Need plenty of area to eventually build a house.
Good luck with setting everything up. Can’t wait to check out the digs sometime when I’m in the area.
