Agloco Dead in the Water

A while ago I made the post “Agloco is Dead”, but a lot of people gave me criticism saying they were going to change things up and the proposed 10-year payment system would be changed, well it’s to late for that. The other day I got this e-mail from Agloco…

“Dear Bob,

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1@live.com.

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

AGLOCO Development Team”

When I first heard about Agloco back in November 2006 I was really excited about it. Most people were saying it was going to be just like AllAdvantage, which I was a part of and made money off of. So I figured Agloco was going to be a good thing. Agloco urged people to signup, but there was no viewbar yet, so they wanted you to refer people to the program so you could make even more money. After many delays the viewbar was released. So people started using the viewbar, but months went by without a payment plan for members. Then one was announced and it was crap, a 10 year payout plan…WTF. Also at this time Agloco said on their blog that they were still loosing money. At this time I declared Agloco Dead and 2 months later it is.

Agloco was a great idea, but they just didn’t do it right. I’m sure we will see something like this again in the future. Hopefully then it will not fail like Agloco did. Here is a screenshot of my final stats, as you can see I really didn’t push the program that much.

I’m glad I never bought into the hype. It sounded like a scam from the get go.

Yeah, I agree with David, this does sound scammish to me, I never bought into it either. Is there any lawsuits proposed in this whole ordeal?

I join then last year and stopped after 3 months. at the time when they delay the viewbar i know something is not right here and i believe they are using the free advertising concept to get quick popularity. and hopefully venture capitalist would agree with their ideas. now i won’t promote any programs with prelaunch or similar. they need to have enough capital on their own to begin with otherwise just don’t do biz.

Yeah, I got the same lame email too ; ( I don’t think it crashed anyones dreams. They were just “Agloco” I suppose. At least it wasn’t one of the big boys that we all earn a living off of!

Darn, you beat me by like 10 referrals. I would’ve gotten more if Agloco had actually done something.

I think a lot of people are not happy with this actually. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars getting sign ups in the beginning stages, and managed to get around 4300 in my downline.

What about the guys that made it to 40 or 50K+ referrals? You think they are happy with this. I don’t care if Agloco would have backfired after 2+ years of payments, but this is just fishy.

With 250K+ active members using the viewbar 5 hours a month they have build up quite a bit of advertising revenue, you can be sure of that. Not all of that money has gone to their costs, that is a complete lie. Those founders have made themselves quite a buck, you better believe it. These schemes are not here without reason. There are tons of these programs that supposedly backfire. Yeah right…

Do you really think the costs of creating a viewbar, running a slow website, and a terrible - most of the time non-responsive - helpdesk are that high? A tech team? come on, of course not. 2 or 3 people could have run this easily with spare time each day.

We have been scammed, that is a fact.
