Early this morning I was awakened by thunder and lightning flashes. I am a very light sleeper, almost anything will wake me up, so the thunder most definitely woke me up. I was lying in bed trying to fall back asleep and I heard thunder and lightning flashes every few minutes. Then about 5 minutes later they were so loud and the rain was so hard I had to go outside and check out the storm. Standing out on my deck I saw 3 lightning strikes right in front of me! I ran and got my laptop and jumped on Justin.tv so I could record the storm. I was lucky enough to catch lightning on the camera. Also you can tell how loud the thunder was! Too bad I was not able to get more video of the lightning, by the time I got my camera setup most of the storm had passed. Check out the video below!

I was like 14 and we were down to the Canarian Islands by Africa and we had such a HUGE thunderstorm outside but I never even woke up.
I barely wake up these days when my son screams on the baby monitor either
DANNNNNNNNNGGGG!!! That sound from the lightning strike was very loud. I can just imagine how loud it was in person…

It woke me up and I live in my basement. I’m also just the opposite, I rarely get woken up by anything.
I also rarely get woken up by anything… I woke up for 2 or 3 strikes, then rolled back over and fell back asleep.
I swear the strikes had to be right outside my house for how loud they were.
I hate thunder both light and the sound. Since I was a child, I always close my eyes and ears whenever I see the thunder lights.

Cool video. We had a nasty storm like that last weekend where I live. We got 60 mph winds and hail to go along with the lightning. It was insane.
Thunderstorms are great, they make me sleepy but I fight to stay awake because I really like watching them.
