Seems like Scott and Benjamin may have taken your post a little too personally. I like the John Chow homage, I find it somewhat ironic. I think you're on the right track with your post, Bob. I write about making money online and I try my best not to just regurgitate everything everyone else is saying...it's hard work to be original in such a large niche, but it's a fun challenge. Also, if Scott and Benjamin could read they'd realize that you are in fact a mogul as the owner of ThinkComputers. And that has nothing to do with John Chow. I guess that's normal. But it's also true that you might not really know how interested you are in something until you really spend some time with the subject. So, in one way, that's a good thing that blogs offer. Sure, it leads to a lot of bad or abandoned blogs in the end, but it's also the beginning of some really good ones. It's just the messy process we need to go through, I think. True enough - people often get excited about something, start a blog, and then it dies off. I guess that’s normal. But it’s also true that you might not really know how interested you are in something until you really spend some time with the subject. So, in one way, that’s a good thing that blogs offer.
