LAN Party Weekend!

This past weekend I attended Pittco’s Iron Strom 7 LAN party. I have been going to LAN parties since I was 14 or 15 so it was nothing new for me. One thing that was different was that I used to be on Pittco staff. Because I have been so busy with work I decided to not be on staff for the past 2 parties. So it was cool to experience Pittco as a gamer, not at as a staff member.

Pittco was held at a local fire hall, which has the perfect setup for a LAN. I went with my friend Sebastian and met up with some other LAN friends. It was a great time and gave me a chance to actually get some gaming in because I rarely play games anymore because of working so much. We ended up joining the Counter-Strike: Source tournament just for fun and we ended up getting second place! It was cool to play CS:S competitively, I haven’t played it like that in years and it brought back some good memories. The LAN party was a great chance to have a lot of fun and see old friends again.     CS is probably the best LAN game of all time.

    I’ve never been to one of these things, sounds like it would be fun. Is there booze allowed? What about a stripper pole?

    Not at Pittco. Certain others ones would, especially one in the basement with friends.
