So how does it work? Well if you head on over to CellForCash.com you can select and manufacturer and model of your phone. Then click on the sell button, a shopping cart will show up with what CellForCash.com will pay for your phone. To give an example they will give me $20 for my RAZR V3i and NOTHING for my Audiovox SMT 5600, keep in mind the Audiovox is over 3 years old and most people get a new phone after a year. Once you have selected all of the phones you want to sell to them enter your contact information and hit finalize. From there CellForCash will send you a pre-paid packaging box for you to send the phone to them. Once they receive the phone from you they will mail you a check. They say the whole process takes 45-60 days so you do have to wait a while to get paid.
Now I do realize that $20 is not a lot, but its $20 for nothing! My RAZR would have been lying around forever or I would have just thrown it away. Instead of it going to waste I am making $20 and CellForCash recycles the phone.
You can even make more money with CellForCash.com, they have an affiliate program where you will earn $5 for every person that sells their phone to CellForCash. I’m sure you know a few people that have old cell phones that are just sitting around collecting dust. So what are you waiting for, sell that old cell phone!

What do the prices go up to? I wonder if you get a $400 phone for $100 on discount, then sell it the very next day. How much would you get for it?
It doesn’t appear as if they would sell for a lot. The 4GB Iphone is only $120 and the 8GB is $280
This is a great idea Bob, however…don’t forget to use your local Craigslist too. People love to buy phones off of there and I have sold someof my old phones for top dollar. Just thought I would share. I am a Craigslist fanatic! Happy Holidays : )
When it comes to selling stuff for most profit, the best way is to do it via forums, so you take a smaller hit with fees. I would also try eBay, but you have to trust the buyers. The V3 can sell for a least $40 even when it’s used.

I agree w/ Moms Cash Blog on this one, I’ll probably end up going with the Craigslist route, but if that fails, I would definitely give this a look. Also, I do realize not everyone lives in a big city where Craigslist is popular so yeah, this works.
My husband has a cellphone that he refuses to let go of; this has to be a world record or something: that phone is nearly 7 years old. What is amazing is, it still works fine (mostly). It’s a Panasonic if you’re wondering.
I would probably do this if my old phone wasn’t snapped in two.
Not a bad idea for older phones, but with something semi-new, you’d be better off selling it on eBay. I checked the Treo 700p that I recently sold, they would have offered me $65 whereas I got around $190 on eBay.
It zaps me that people change their cell phones every year. Why? Mine has given me great service for the last three years and it is still going strong. I doubt very much that I would want to junk it ever unless it dies on me. Even then, I suppose that it would simply go to the attic along with so many other old memorablia.

Ahhh, i used to think that until i moved to Japan ….. 2 phones a year at the moment, love upgrading to the new model!
A lot of our phones in the UK are free or very cheap in the UK. I just got a HTC Tytn II on contract for £40 six weeks back. Now they are free on contract. There isn’t really a reason not to upgrade in the UK unless you don’t like contracts.
