How to Make Big Money Bloggin!

I’ve known John Chow for quite some time now, even before he started blogging! After meeting him he showed me how to make money with ThinkComputers and ever since then I’ve been doing it as a full time job! He really knows a lot about making money online and how to do it the right way. His blog has grown from just a simple personal blog to a business that makes well over $40,000 a month! He only works around 2-3 hours a day on his blog too! This means he has a lot of time for other things like family, house shopping, and of course enjoying good food. This is what we like to call the dot com lifestyle.

Recently John has released a new E-book called the Ultimate Blog Profit Model. This new E-book shows you exactly how John has been able to make a very comfortable living from just blogging. The best part is the E-book is FREE! Also one random person that downloads the new E-book will win an Apple iPad! Here is a video of John explaining the new E-book…

If you are looking to make money from blogging this is the E-book that you are going to want to check out. John Chow is no gimmick, no self-proclaimed expert in blogging, he is the real deal! I’ve known him for many years and he knows what he is doing! Get your copy of the Ultimate Blog Profit Model here!

A Temporary Situation

Well if you didn’t notice lately I have been a little behind on my blogging. This is mainly because I have been packing, moving and putting things in storage. Yeah that’s right I have moved again! Not that long ago I moved into my new apartment in the city. It turns out things didn’t really work out with my roommate. Mainly because he was completely anti-social and a complete slob, you would think by the time you are 21 you know how to clean up after yourself, but I guess not. So over the past 2 months I have been looking for a new place. I finally found a really nice place only 5 minutes from my old place, but it will not be ready till August. Not wanting to having to find a place for 2 months and not wanting to go back to my parents house my friend Jeremy was nice enough to let me crash at his place.

This is actually a good thing since I will be living with him at the new place. So this is sort of like a trial run before we move in. His place is out in Robinson, which is about 25 minutes outside of the city. This is not ideal, but like I said its better than going back to my parents. It is a real pain breaking down my entire office and setting it up there, but hey I have to do it! Right now my office is just a large folding table.

It works for now and like I said it’s only for 2 months. Everything else for the office is in storage. It’s going to be a little harder to work in such a cramped space, but it will work out. I’m finally back on track so stay tuned for a bunch of new posts here on the blog.

A Fun Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend was Memorial Day and for most people it is a long weekend. Since I work from home it really was not a long weekend for me, but I did enjoy my weekend. As I said in an earlier in a post I have been getting out more and this past weekend was no exception. The weekend started on Saturday where we went to a party down in South Side. The party was at a Steelers House, but I can’t say who’s place it was. I was actually surprised when we got there because it is in the middle of South Side, but since it was on the river it really didn’t seem like you were in South Side at all.

The party was really fun and it was just great to relax and have fun. Most of our group showed up so it was really a good time.

After the party we all headed over to Diesel which is a club here in Pittsburgh. They were holding a “White Party”, which if you don’t know is where everyone wears white. It was actually really cool and it was the first time I’ve actually gone to the white party in Pittsburgh.

Finally on Sunday I went to a cookout / party at my friends house. That was also a lot of fun. There was a ton of food and it was nice to just relax. I really hope everyone had some time to relax over the holiday weekend I know I did!

The Website is Down – Sales Demolition

Back in 2008 I talked about the Website is Down video that was going around the internet. It was extremely funny, especially if you ever worked in IT or tech support before. After watching that video a few times I really never went back to the website, but the other day I thought of it and I went back to the website to see that they had 3 new videos. Each of them are pretty funny but their latest one Sales Demolition is extremely hilarious! You can check it out below…

The funny thing is things like this do happen all the time in companies and sales people are totally clueless how things work. I’m not so sure if IT people these days do fake virus attacks, but it is pretty funny. The thing I really like about these videos is that they are all real, which means they all use real IT programs and situations. No fake technology or fake procedures. This is why many people enjoy these videos because they can see themselves doing the same thing! This video was posted back in October, I really hope they have a new video soon! You can check out all the videos here

How to Turn Your Hobby Into a Business

If you have been reading this blog for a while you probably know that before I was running ThinkComputers full time it was just a hobby. I feel very fortunate that I was able to take a hobby and turn it into a full time job. It’s not often that many people get to do what they love for a living. I’m not sure if I would call myself lucky, because it did take a lot work to get where I am but I guess I feel lucky that my job really does not feel like a real job. The thing is anyone can really do what I do, and anyone can turn their hobby into a business. The thing is, it just takes WORK! I worked on ThinkComputers just for fun, without making any money for almost 4 years before I learned I could make money with it! Here are some tips that should help you turn your hobby into a business.

Dedication
If you want something to succeed then you have to be dedicated to it! When I decided to go full time with ThinkComputers thats all I did. I worked on it 24/7 and rarely ever went out. I’m not saying this is the best thing to do, but you do need to be dedicated. You need to choose whether you want your business to succeed or just let it slide along. My dedication has really paid off, if you read my post How to Work Less and Get Out More you will see why!

Goals are Important
Goals are important when it comes to almost anything. When I decided to go full time with ThinkComputers I set a definite goal of posting at least 3-4 review a week. Since then we have not really gone under that number, unless something serious was going on with me or the site. If you have a goals setup they keep you on track and you feel great when you are able to accomplish them.

Treat it like a Business
This is probably the most important thing you need to do if you want to succeed in making your hobby a business. If you act like your hobby is just a hobby you are never going to be able to make it your business. If you treat it like a business you will see that it will become more successful. Treating it like a business means defining goals, being dedicated, and actually really caring about it. Not doing it whenever you feel like it and putting it second to other things.
