The way I look at it. You have to love what you're doing first of all. Second, nothing comes easy in life, you have to work for everything you want to achieve that is why there are people who dream and those who create their dreams into reality. Third, you need to treat it like a job. If you think you're going to earn money online, work 8 hour days just like you would with a job in the real world.

I think it is more about 'instant traffic' than 'instant money' in most cases. I've been guilty of it in the past, giving up an idea because getting good, returning traffic is hard work that takes time. If what you're doing isn't being used or seen by many people and not making money on top of that, it gets frustrating.

I know they eventually go hand in hand, getting traffic, which in return makes you money. So it's basically the same thing, I just though I'd add that traffic is just as big as a problem for new sites. If I started a site today and it had instant viewers I would be content with that until I started making money off it. If people think they will make good money right off, then they just need to quit being neive which you basically said in this post. Good post.
