Tell-a-Friend Wordpress Plugin

Tell a Friend was launched by Social Twist and is free to download and install. Now you don’t need to sign up to Social Twist to download the widget but if you do signup to Social Twist you are able to customize the widget and have access to usage statistics. I went ahead and signed up for an account. Once you download the plugin, just upload it to your wordpress plugins folder and active it and you a good to go. It can’t get much easier than that. The plugin can also be used on other platforms like TypePad, Blogger and Textpattern. It will be interesting to see if anyone uses the widget on the page, check it out for yourself.

It would be great if they included social bookmarking on there too, like StumbleUpon and Digg. Then, it would be a truly comprehensive and efficient little widget.
Quite a great concept. It’s just a great referal system. It does add some convenience to link sharing.
After I saw John using this, I really didn’t like it, but then I realized that it works a lot better than that “share this” plugin. lol.

This appears to be somewhat similar to some available options such as the ShareThis plug-in. These plug-ins are great so that an article can be easily spread without having to manually send it over to a certain social networking site. Some of the icons on these plug-ins are quite colorful and appealing to use.
Yes, useful little plug-in. You’d think people would use it…but they do!
