The CES 2011 Swag Haul

Each year at CES I am bombarded with a ton of swag, things companies give out to you when you visit their booth or meet with them. This year was no different, I came home with a ton of extra things I did not come to Vegas with. First let’s talk about the CES press bag. Each year CEA gives all press members a press bag. The one that they gave out this year was pretty sad. I think the press bags have gotten worse each year I have attended CES. I think the best thing that I got this year was a 500GB Western Digital My Passport USB 3.0 drive, which I won at the TweakTown party. The weirdest thing I think I got was a bright orange tie from Taitra. Here are some of the other cool things I got this year…

– Zalman Clip-on USB speakers
– 16GB USB 3.0 flash drive
– Luxa2 earbuds
– Zotac travel mouse
– CMHD.TV Girls 2011 Calendar
– Gigabyte Beer koozie

You can get your hands on some of these things by entering the CES 2011 Swag Giveaway over at ThinkComputers. I might have a contest on this blog too, we will see.

  • That is quite a collection of goodies you got there Bob. Best thing about it is they are free. I agree the tie is kinda strange, do you plan to ever wear it? Anyhow thanks for sharing.

  • I have always like swag but it does seem to get worse every year.

  • Wow, so much stuff they gave you. I think you should do some review for the products they gave you, as a “Thank you” for the companies that gave you their products. Just my thoughts.

  • Really great information about swag. I was just browsing for related blog posts for my project research and I happened to discover yours. Thanks for the excellent information!

  • I always visit your blog and retrieve everything you post here but I never commented but today when I saw this post, I couldn’t stop myself from commenting here. great mate!

  • SWAG!!! stuff we ALL get! I miss that stuff from the car shows 🙂 Any extra usb drives you want to throw in a give away 😉

  • I have not attended a convention in quite some time but I do remember receiving quite a lot of swag myself. From your picture it looks like you had a nice haul. The 16GB flash drive is nothing to turn your nose up at. I am amazed that a flash drive can hold that much memory. It looks like you will need an extra bag to bring it back home.

  • That is some pretty cool swag you got there, with theTravel Mouse and the 500 GB external drive are certainly the best of them. The 2011 calender also looks very appealing!

  • nice present. it is really good that there are companies on the market that give some “substantial” presents, not just a t-shirt or hats. 🙂

  • Hi there, simply became alert to your blog thru Google, and found that it is really informative. I am going to watch out for brussels. I’ll be grateful when you proceed this in future. Lots of other folks can be benefited out of your writing. Cheers!

  • I looked at the photo of all that free stuff, and thought I’d check out your bio (on your about page) to remind myself you are only 24 (maybe 25 now) and you are SOOO fortunate. Some may call it luck, but I call it genius. I can tell by your blog, your photos, and posts that you are not only really successful, but very inspirational!

  • I remember when a ONE GB flash drive was the coolest thing in the world to have…
