I agree that the audience can be really targeted, especially if you are sending out on topic messages. It seems nowadays that people are more likely to respond to a tweet or Facebook update and take action than anything else.

I have got to say something here.

Soon, Twitter, Facebook and everything else will be dead. This is whatever said about email and it looks like social media could easily replace email if we had to.

Point being, it will be only a matter of time (IMHO) before Twitter is not only flooded by spammers just shooting off tweets to spam a website or product, but the odds are, they will get ads on their site, etc.

Just like MySpace was the king of the web, now it’s almost dead – for the SAME reasons. Their oversized ads that block 90% of the screen and the fake spam accounts set up along with all the phishing and exploits.

This is just another fad and there WILL be something better that WILL replace this craze over social media.

*This is JUST my humble opinion, so don’t get too fired up by it.
